G Is For The Gentle Barn ~ Animal Non-Profits ~ Blogging From A to Z April Challenge 2024

The Gentle Barn is a sanctuary for both animals and children and was founded in 1999 by Ellie Laks. Since the age of 7 she knew she wanted to create a peaceful place where animals and children come together.

This non-profit offers programs such as Peace Enhancement and People With Disabilities. They also offer Cow Hug Therapy, Barnyard Therapy, and Equine Therapy.

You can MEET THE ANIMALS on their website. They also offer a weekly newsletter.

You can get involved by giving a donation, sponsoring an animal or group or becoming a volunteer.

  1. What an amazing place! Wonderful to have children, especially those with special circumstances/needs visit. Animals are so therapeutic.
