Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. was started in 2005 by a mother and daughter team. They felt that blind cats needed a chance at life and a safe place to live. Shelters deemed these cats unadoptable and were euthanized just because they could not see.
In 2011, this non-profit started taking in leukemia positive and feline immunodeficiency diagnosed cats. And about 5 years ago started a spay/neuter program for homeless cats in the community.
There website allows you to Meet The Cats and offers a way to watch these magnificent felines in action, LIVE.

What wonderful people! I would think blind cats can make lovely companions, just need some accommodations.

If you watch their webcam it’s amazing what they can do! Sad to think that so many have been euthanized for just being blind.
